Question: 225/45x17 and 8.5" rims
How well will this work? I've always run 255/40x17 on these but I noticed that the specs on the 225/45x17 (most tires) say upto 8.5" rims.
btw... probably looking at Continentals or Michelins. Thanks in advance.... |

225/45R17 will work on 17X8.5" wheels with no problem. This is actually fairly common to do.

Okay.... started really looking at this and have run into another question specifically with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS.... spec sheet states 7" - 8" rims and not 7" - 8.5".
