Goodyear f1 Assymetrics fitted.

Hi all,

Yesterday had my tyres changed for the above.. kept the standard MSport alloys in the end as I do a load of miles and cannot afford the more expensive tyres each year.

Anyhow, so far, a bit noisey, but the car feels sooooo much better! Its lighter, seems more keen, if a little light at times.. but just needs some time to get trusting the grip again.

The ride comfort has gone up HUGELY - I cannot explain enough, but I have back issues and its been so much more relaxing over the M4 cracks and London potholes on my weekly commute to Cardiff from London. Amazing.

I am not carrying any gunk yet... any recommended versions and places to order this?

Thanks,

Another new F1 convert, well done!

You can order the mobility kit from any dealership - mine cost about £60.

Just ordered a set myself
Noisy you say, what are you comparing with? Everything I've read about them says they're very quiet for a high performance tire.

they are quiet, but need to bed in too... but are currently a bit more noisey than the RFT bridgestones it had on it...

I have a compressor, just need some gunk for "emergency only".

Either way, even with RFTs if I were to get a flat I would call our Assistance...but now I can limp to the nearest tyre place.

They were £555 with £35 alignment check.

wow thats a good price! thing is what did u do with the bridgestones. i feel its wasted if im gonna swap off existing tyres an no doubt the rears wear out faster than fronts and dont fancy mixing and matching tyres cos apparently DSC doesnt like it

What consists of your mobility kit? I bought a bottle for £6 which inflates flat tyre and has a layer of latex to keep the tyre inflated. £6 seems a bargain?!

I had a look at them.. the rears were down to under 3mm and the fronts at 4mm.. so not really bothered about keeping them as no doubt they would have just taken up room and don't have much life on them anyway.

So basically 4 new tyres.. will get my wheels refurbed soon too for the summer..

Does anyone actually like run flats?

They last half as long, cost twice as much and make the ride twice as hard.

Efficient dynamics offset by complete stupidity

Big ding to that.....but then I'm sure the manufacturers and tyre companies see things differently.....
