E93 seats and fitting into a van

Hi I have purchased some E93 front electric seats and want to fit these into the rear of a Mercedes Sprinter conversion. I have the seat module. Does anyone know if I run some power to them the electrics are likely to work?

I've done a search but it is less than clear. I think I should have bought some e46 ones!

Thanks

Okay thanks, sounds like an expensive mistake ! I have wired a motor up for the fore and aft direct to a 12v battery and can get it to move forwards and backwards, I'm hoping I can do the same with the other two motors and I'll then be able to get the seat in the van to a position I want.
Thanks for replying though

If you supply 12v and ground to the individual motor pins they'll work no bother

Thanks Cro, I think I'll do that in the short term and then look to build some electronic circuit so I can move them on the go. Cheers

We retrofitted electric seats into my brothers E90.

On those, the passenger seat just worked fine with 12v and ground attached. However the drivers seat worked for a minute or so then shut down due to the missing canbus.

You could perhaps add a switch to the power supply, so you can turn the power on when you want to move them and you'll get the 1 minute or so before it shuts off?

Or get a control unit from another passenger seat, and use that on the drivers one?

as above, when we retrofitted my Electric seats (there is a thread on here covering it) the passenger seat worked no problem, but the drivers seat only worked for a short period of time before it shut itself off due to not getting a response from the canbus.

Just bypass the module and power straight to the motor pins. No can bus problems

It's the passenger seat I fitted and it would't power up. I used the pins as found in a searched post.
I've hardwired the motors as Cro suggested. When I get time I 'll try and wire the seat switches in through a few relays.
The only thing I can't get working is the seat recline so I have that to figure out. Cheers for the help
