So after trolling for a really long time on the different forums here, I came up with this summary just for fun. 1 series drivers - most likely women or teenage kids. Either way the car was bought for them. 2 series drivers - can't really drive, have you seen the countless threads about "just got into an accident?" M2 - ...forum seems to be full of people "who love to drive"...why not just get the m3 or m4...cost difference will most likely just be about 10k? 3 series drivers - newbies, most likely new to the brand. 4 series drivers - have style. M3/m4 drivers - people who get the car because they can or they are really looking for something they can mod. 5 series - graduated from the 3, might think they have something to prove? 6 series - bachelor life? M5/m6 - filthy rich and pretentious. Most likely will turn their noses up at anything less than 100k. 7 series - also filthy rich...and old X1 - probably new to BMW and can't quite justify the high price tags of the other series. X3/x4 - practicality over all. Have cash but don't care about the flash. X5/x6 - soccer mom or starting a family and makes money. Z -drivers - have no sense of practicality and just wanted a "cool little convertible" but couldn't afford the Porsche options or Mercedes SL. Feel free to add, again just for fun :P.

FIXED!
1 series - people into enjoyment of driving...and women who care about cosmetics 2 series - people who are trying to get into driving...but cannot. 3 series - leased. don't give a crap about cars. 4 series - don't give a crap about cars, but want to look like they do. 5 series - leased. don't give a crap about cars, but need to look wealthy. 6 series - actually have money and like nice cars..but don't care about driving.. 7 series - rich, old, and a bit angry X1 - women, small families, hated SUVs but sold their soul for at least a decent one. X3/X4 - don't care about driving. care about a dirty dog. X5/X6: - don't care about life, driving, or enjoyment. M cars (ALL) - Look down at non-M cars, douchey but confident. Love driving. Just bought (not leased) a 335i and it's my first Bimmer. Coming from the Japanese world. I've only had it a month. Mod-bug has bit me hard: MPPK, MPE, BMS Stage 1, rear diffuser and spoiler. Looking at the aFe intake next, front splitter, side blades, wheels (SSR SP3 or SP4), and drop (thinking air or Ohlins).

Almost spot on. The future of the 1er concerns me since they are getting affordable for teens first cars.
