N55 performance exhaust videos :)
More than pictures I know you guys like videos. First video is a cold start. I was trying to capture the turbo spooling sound in the second video but the exhaust rapes the sound when you put the camera in front of it.

Sweet, I really love the sound of the PE in videos, haven't heard it live yet though!
Did you fit it yourself or did you let a mufflershop / dealership install it? How much was the labor, or if you fitted it youself: time spent installing. Did yours come with loose tips or welded tips? Have fun with it ![]() |

doesn't this have to do with factory welded / loose tips?
I beleive recently BMW started to deliver the PE with loose tips, and theese are double wall type. I've read about the loose tips on recent PE install threads. I think it's nice, makes it easier to choose your own tip, too bad the CYBA tips only is for welding and not clamp on. But on the OEM side, I prefer the single wall type, looks more raw and crisp, bettoer on the M-tech bumper. The double wall looks better on the standard bumper, more "classy" / Old gentleman. |

This makes me really regret not jumping on that deal when E90 335 PEs were marked down to $600 to clear inventory.

Sounds good
![]() BMW did a better job with their exhausts on the E chassis than the F chassis.

It was a deal directly from BMW. It might've just been for the N55 E90s, but if you did a search for BMW performance exhausts straight from BMW's website or a dealer's website, the price came up at right around $600.
Those exhausts are unfortunately loooong gone though, at least via official channels. Certain resellers might have some or people might sell their used ones.

What kind of horsepower gains are you getting from the performance exhaust?

I ordered the Euro version PE and just learned they are equipped with the flapper =/
So that should basicly be 335iS exhaust? They euro part numbers are: 18102208796 (old euro number) 18102410667 (new euro number) What is the US version number for the PE and also the 335IS exhaust? Last edited by sx33; 08-14-2015 at 03:39 AM.. |

That said, if this is still a genuine PE, I'd be interested in knowing if BMW plans on selling this stateside.

My car sounds very similar to this... VRSF catted downpipe and stock exhaust.
Simply tad more quiet. Perfect for me. PE exhaust really is nice sounding with OEM cats.
