Will these bulbs cut it? H8's off eBay

Hi All,

I'm gonna upgrade my stock angel eyes on my 09 E90 LCI (stock Bi-Xenons) from the yellow colour to a nicer white colour .

I've seen alot of people using these CREE 20w bulbs from Horizon LEDs
http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/bmw-20w...led-angel-eyes

(think the owner is a member on here) But these are £67

Are these ones on eBay with a similar description and name for only £20 the same thing?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009948467...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Anyone had any experience with these £20 eBay ones?

Thanks in advance

20W is not that bright. Most of the competition is up to 80W. You'd have trouble seeing a 20W in the day time.

+1 to what Jeff said. There are many newer and better lights out there that will give you a much better bang for your buck ( of in your case pound) Take a look through the vendor section for lighting on this forum and there are a lot of great options out there.

I lopve it how people always say "GO LED!!!"

Here are my H8´s off ebay. No hassle, no problem and brightness might be abit down from the high power LED´s, but for the price, its damn good.
The pics are from inside a lighted garage, taken with a cellphone and they arent really that bright IRL, but the color is right about 4300K, just like the stock xenons. I´d say they are about 80% as bright as the new F30/F31 LED angeleyes.
Both pics with angeleyes ONLY in full power DRL mode.
Dont mind the cop lights..

Pics at night can easily justify even the weakest of aftermarket options.

Can you get some pictures in broad day light?

Sure.
Not as bright as oem e90/91 Halogens ofcourse, but good enough.
I spent the led upgrade money on the grillmounted drivinglights from Hella. The same ff200 model that German Police use on unmarked BMWs

Nice! Those sure are bright! H8 plug and play?
Im OK with the output mine have, but yours seem to have better diffusion. Might be cameraangle to some degree ofcourse, but no denying you beat the cheopo ebay H8 bulbs silly. As you should considering the price difffrence.

So.. Do we do highbeam comparrisons next?
