Need Help with MHD Stage 1 + FMIC Logs.
I just installed the ETS 5" intercooler I purchased off another member on here and installed the MHD Stage 1 + FMIC 93 Octane tune. I was running the cobb stage 1 93 tune just before that with great results and logs. It looks as if I'm not running anywhere near target load, and I also have a few areas where boost isn't right where it should be, although it's not too low. I don't know if this is boost leak or something else. Car is 08' with 45K and just put new plugs in last week. Gas is Shell 93 V Power Nitro stuff. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong?
Logs (3 of them): http://datazap.me/u/noslow5oh/throug...og=1&data=4-20 |

Actually, this looks pretty good to me. I'm on the same fmic/tune/gas and your numbers are very similar to my results.

My first impression as well, until I looked at my own logs. He goes from 0 to crossing target in about a 1200 rpm span. Seems about right, no?

There's been a few people with similar logs recently. Taking them an age to hit their target. |

It does feel a little slower to build boost than the cobb, but I only had the cobb on for a few days, so not 100% sure. The link below is a log from the cobb stage 1 93 oct. aggressive. I had just changed the plugs and IAT temps were ridiculous. It looks like the boost and load values are much closer between requested and actual with the cobb tune.
http://datazap.me/u/noslow5oh/log-14...=0&data=3-4-15 These logs are a week apart, so the only thing that's changed besides the tunes is the addition of the FMIC. That's why I'm wondering if there may be a leak or something. The car does feel strong. On the way to work it lit the tires up when it hit about 3500rpms in second gear, but I did turn DTS off for a brief moment. Last edited by NoSlow5oh; 07-27-2015 at 09:52 AM.. |

They are going to be the same in terms of boost build. there have been several logs floating around. Its tuned that way down low.
I do have a question I've been dying to ask Wedge about these tunes. I know he said he didn't want actual boost to meet target so under conditions where more boost is required to make the same power their is headroom for actual boost to increase before hitting requested (or something to that effect). My question is if target isn't tuned to meet requested how in the hell do you know what actual boost is suppose to be? I know something is wrong on my tune when actual isn't closely following target (same thing on my last car 2.0T VW). Also why doesn't the DME do anything? At some point where boost and target are too far apart the DME is suppose to say wait a minute and throw an underboost code or limp mode. Basically help me understand what the hell is going on lol. |
