Tow Bar on E93 M Sport Pre LCI

Hi all,

I have just put a deposit down on a new to me E93 330i M Sport Pre LCI. Is there a specific tow bar for this car or will the same tow bar from the E90/E91 or the E92 fit this car?

Once I get it back home on Thursday I'll get some decent pics up but for the moment I have this one and the specs. Something that strikes me as odd is having the compass readout in the rear view mirror. Anybody else have this?!

I'm looking for a removable tow bar and will only use it when going on extended journeys across the continent with family.

Cheers,

Jim

I am fairly sure that E92 and E93 are the same.

E90 & E91 are interchangeable, but they don't fit yours.

My advice is to get a Westfalia bar - they are very well engineered.
Fitting is straightforward - bumper off, metal bar behind bumper thrown away, towbar refitted in it's place.
Wiring as required - cheapskate 7-way relay that will do your head in when you select reverse as it doesn't kill the reverse sensors. Dedicated electric box is smart, easier to fit, will monitor all bulbs on the trailer/caravan/whatever but is 7x the price of the relay.

Bar socket is hidden up behind the bumper, and the electric socket hinges up/down, so completely invisible.

Doesn't apply to the 330's but 335's need extra exhaust brackets that are very expensive to buy but are very easy to fabricate!

Thanks guys. Will have a closer look into the part numbers soon.

Picked her up yesterday and the sound is a lot different to the e46 vert and of course the power is much more coming from 325 to 330.

Absolutely love it and can see this one staying with me for quite a while now

One more pic taken last night...

Looks good. Enjoy.

It would look better towing a caravan at 90mph, roof down though
