What did I just cut while removing bumper shroud?

I got a little carried away cutting all the plastic shrouding for my 7" FMIC. Seems like some sort of thermostat. I just wrapped it in some electrical tape but I'm curious to what this is and if I need to replace it?

Pretty sure it's the ambient temp sensor no big deal unless you can't figure out how hot it is outside without your car telling you.

Yes its the ambient temp sensor and will throw a cel. Needs replaced.
