Burger JBD

Hi guys,

a good friend of mine has just got a JBD for his E90 325 LCI. (6 cylinder 3 litre Diesel).

The instructions for the 3 series aren't very clear at all.

Has anyone fitted one. It's a single connector but I can't see the thing anywhere. Any idea where it's located?

Better yet, any images?

Thanks

Usually these things just bodge onto the fuel rail pressure sensor.

The fuel rail is under the inlet manifold but pokes out at the front and you can access the pressure sensor there.

I thought with this I'd see something but no.

Fuel rails are under this black piece of foam. Maybe it's there.

Your circled item isnt the pressure sensor.

I presume thats the N57 engine? Looks quite different to the M57.

Lift the foam off, and find the fuel injectors. Follow the silver pipes from the injector and you'll find they connect to a cast alloy tube. This is the fuel rail. The pressure sensor should be on the end of the rail, closest to the front of the car.

Not sure if the N57 is different though.

Have you checked the tuning box is compatible with the N57?

Yes, that's the fuel rail. I've just photographed mine for you but that's it. I have my Racechip Pro connected there - 2 connections from the Racechip (1 to the fuel rail and the other to the plug you remove from the fuel rail - basically inline between the ECU and the rail to modify signals from the ECU to the fuel rail). My Racechip cable is shown in red. Strange you device only has one connection though.

So that is indeed the sensor but the JBD doesnt fit the N57 engine's sensor socket. There are 2 prongs inside that block it. My friend will try to cut grooves.

Thanks!

That may be his problem. Odd though that he bought it last month?
Stock from 2013. I wonder?

It does have a white part inside.
