JB4 Map Switch Lag Issues?

Hi, I recently installed a JB4 on my e90 beemer.
Today on coldstart I instantly switched to map 0 to show my brother the comparison between stock vs jb4 map 5. However, after taking it around the block on stock boost, when I switched to map 5, the boost remained at stock level as I watched it on the boost fuel guage hijack. Then I switched to map 2, and the boost still remained at stock level which I could both feel, and see on the fuel guage. But when I drove the car around some more and scrolled through the whole menu, i was able to get my 15 psi back on map 5. Why does this happen, is it because the car has to be at a certain temperature for the extra boost to kick in? Please help!

Car has to be up to 160 degrees before jb4 is activated. I believe it's Speedo 6 Tach 3 and it will flash your flashers twice to let you know it's ready to go (just on the dash, not outside lights)

Love it when I'm driving and see the flashers go off, means it's go time

There's a safety built in that won't let the JB4 become active until the engine is at its minimum operating temperature (160°) as stated above.

Regardless of that feature, you shouldn't go WOT when the engine is still warming up.

Also, everytime you switch to map 5, it has to relearn the map, so performance could get better after a few pulls.
