PURE Stage 2 N54 Dyno Results!

Edit: Latest dyno results added 10/2

Let me start off by giving a big shout out to Terry, Jesse, and the PURE crew! Thank you for all the hard work spent on my car

I dropped off my car at PURE two weeks ago to get their N54 stage 2 turbo's and TFT inlet kit installed. I picked up my car last week and DAMN it absolutely rips! I've been driving a FBO N54 for the last 5 years from my 07' base model 335i to my current 2010 E90 M-sport so I'm used to the tons of low end torque and then shifting at 6k . When I did my first pull with my new setup on low boost I was literally shocked at how hard the car pulled to redline. It's a completely different power band than I'm use to and I freakin' love it

Right on! Sounds like a fun weekend you have been having. Congrats on putting down such big #s. Very cool getting to hang with and watch Terry dial your car in on the dyno!

Nice numbers but with stage 2s that's pretty slow boost to get full torque unless that was intentional tune wise. Just saying that some single turbos spool faster than those dyno numbers.

I am assuming no price point yet? I have been holding off for a year now getting nicer turbos because of all the shit going on with RB and Vargas. This sounds like a Sound decision to move on with Pure. Loving the numbers!

Seeing it's an auto, my guess is Terry is trying to give the tranny a some cushion from a hard torque hit. In all honesty though, it Looks like a heads/cam/headers/tune C6 Z06 Dyno graph... Doesn't even look like a turbo car Dyno, very smooth and linear, probably feels like a rocket ship with continually climbing horsepower through the rpm range. Great job guys looks like a nice setup and great numbers!

Forget the numbers, LOOK AT THAT CURVE! It actually holds all the way past 6500 RPM for a change. Pretty rare to see that with a twin setup.

Congrats on the beast!

This. Everyone is throwing shit about the spool when this is the obvious answer. If the full boost was in so early it would ruin the AT overnight.
T knows what he is doing.

Terry tunes ATs to have more torque low down than in this case. So, the low RPM torque figures must be due to the slower spooling turbos.

You could be right about that but commanded boost target is way ahead of actual boost up until well past 3k rpm's. That could be any number of things unrelated to tune or turbos, as simple as a vac leak, solenoid valves, who knows what. PWM is maxed out so WG are trying hard to hit that target.

But the larger point is this is a great first result, I am sure it is nowhere near representative of what will eventually be accomplished with careful tweaking and refinement. People jumping on saying spool is bad, well just wait and see what they end up with after a few more weeks.
