FS: BMW M3 DCT Instrument Cluster
I bought this cluster as part of a package of parts from a wrecked E93 M3 convertible. I have decided against fitting it to my 135i as I can't see how this can be modified to fit an e82 without looking like ass. After test fitting I discovered that while you could bodge it to fit, I would only accept a factory fit and finish.
Therefore I am offering it up for sale. If you are in Melbourne I will fit it and code it for you as part of the purchase price. This is compatible with all E90/E91/E92/E93 series vehicles. This was removed from an Australian vehicle. It has nicer looking dials, 330kph top speed and a redline that increases according to engine temperature. Note that according to everything I've read, the DCT shift lights will not work on a non M3. $500, located in Ferntree Gully Melbourne

the M3 cluster looks boss lit up at night also, no gay orange illumination!
What coding can you do? I believe the chipsets in the cluster have to be changed that's all you can do? G/L with the sale! |

According to my research it should be possible to use Tool32 to write the VIN. If that is not possible then the EEPROM needs to be desoldered and the VIN rewritten manually. I rework PCBs all the time as part of my daily job so that kind of stuff is easy for me. After that, all you need to do is use NCSExpert to code the cluster
Some people have had issues when buying a USA cluster and putting it in a Euro spec car but since this came out of an Australian vehicle everything should be fine.

Awesome buy!! for genuine M3 cluster.
I don't know if the revs indicator will work if its not M3 probably will not, our redline is a lot shorter vs M3 I've got a custom cluster with white LED's + M3 rings. Socket will probably buy it

The DCT shift lights will not work but the dynamic redline should go to 7K when coded (saw a retrofit thread on n54tech on a 335i).

Ha I was going to PM you about it last night Socket!
Yeah the redline indicator works fine as per 335i redline as the car warms up (it doesnt revert to M3 redline) well it did on my m3 cluster! |

The cluster only takes a few minutes to physically install, the coding will probably take a while to get perfect. I figure its at least a few hours to get everything tested and good.
