Chasing Misfires

Guys,

I need help tracking down an issue with my 335 N54, JB4, 55,000 miles.

Codes: 2d2f, 2aaf, 29d0
SEL: sometimes related to misfire

Cold start in the morning results in a shaky cabin as RPMs drop from 1200 down to 600/700 RPM. There are not any fluctuations in the RPM. Rev the engine during this period roughness gets worse. Put the car in reverse immediately after start, shaking gets worse.

Cold start or after sitting out in the heat for a period of time, I have longer crank times, but not quite as long as a HPFP. In addition to the crank time, the starts are not "smooth". The car sometimes starts but fires off at a low RPM then struggles for a second before returning to a normal idle.

Misfire: threw a misfire on cylinder 4 after a real gradual 3rd gear pull.

Spark plugs have been replaced twice within 1 month. One plug had quite a bit of carbon/oil on it. One plug had a strong fuel smell.

Any ideas?

Have you tried swapping the coil packs to see if it follows the coil pack to the other cylinder?

That would be the next step followed by new injectors. Its usually plugs, coils or injectors or fuel pump.
