How can we get the navigation screen to automatically go into night mode?

I have 2010 and it's in my options to make it night mode but I was hoping to automatically have it do that when my lights turn on, or at a certain time.

Possible?

I have 2015-2 version north america, and there is an option in navigation for Day/Night or automatic something like that. Not sure about your 2010 version

Where do you go to see the automatic setting you mention?

I believe it is Navigation left menu, under additional options.

It depends on your year and model. Not all vehicles are equipped with the day/night sensor on the CIC in order to automatically change day/night mode.

I'll have to double check, as far as I'm aware it's only on the F-chassis vehicles that have the sensors for that.

You can assign your radio button to act as a shortcut to switch bw day/night mode.

Go to desired setting and then just hold the radio button to store it.

Btw. this setting had nothing to do with maps, but with actual i drive operating system. From what i saw, few people tried coding it, and it didn't work.
