Ok so I messed up thinking when Google was prompting me for a payment password for MHD flasher module. I accidentally tried too many times bc I thought it was asking me for my PayPal password since that's what I was using to pay and it was actually asking me for my google account password. Now it was deemed "high risk" and prompts me to try again in 30 minutes. Now I try again in 30 mins and it still says high risk. Waited an hour, same. Switched payment methods. Switched gmail accounts, the whole 9. The risk is referring to the transaction not the risk of the flash (obviously). What do I do?? I think MHD might have blocked my vin? It did read my vin at one point, thanks in advance!

My bank called me the next morning after buying all the modules to verify my card wasn't stolen, but I had no problems purchasing.

It was just because I made an error in the initial purchase that flagged the rest. Had to take some crazy round about way of getting the $. I had to buy 50$ of google play credit 3 times with 3 different peoples (friends) cards and then use the credit to buy the stuff. It wouldn't let me just purchase with the debit cards I had to use them to buy credit first and then get enough credit to then buy the flasher and the maps. Really annoying but it's flashing as we speak. I8AOS is supposed to only take 16-18 mins but it's taking longer.. Says 30 min remaining. Hope my battery holds out!!

Happened to my buddy. His account has never purchased anything before, and it was a new account trying to make a $100 purchase.

Google called, and fixed it over the phone.

Call Google...they'll correct the problem

Rejection is most of the time it is due to
- your google account being new
- your payment method that was not so far used with Google (or since a long time).
- using your account to pay on several devices.

That restriction from Google is cleared after some days. You can try to complete your payment information in Google Wallet (some fields may be missing, like the credit card security code).

Run into the same issue here.
Been on the phone with google over 10times last 24hrs.
First they said my account was hijacked so it had to be recovered.
Then they wanted proof of Bank statements and Photo id.
Now they PERMANENTLY closed my account?/!!

Tried my wife's google account same issue. I'm not calling again and have her account closed.

Its impossible to buy for me.

My google play account is permanently suspended. Waiting on a response from MHD to see if i can do a Paypal transfer directly to them. Last hope.

You probably wont be able to because you are going to need a google play account in order to download any of the logging modules or m-boost option for custom tunes.

I went through a huge headache trying to get this thing on the phone.. I use an iphone so i had to borrow a galaxy. Finally got it to work by using different cards to buy points because i could only by 50 dollars worth on the same card had to use 3 cards to get the 150$ needed.

Now im onto my next battle.. I loaded my tune with a galaxy s5 (girlfriends) and bought an old android phone to use just for logging and displaying, etc. The cable wont recognize the device even though its running the exact same software as the s5.. when the cable is connected to the s5 it recognizes it, but when its plugged into my older galaxy it doesn't recognize it (same cable)

Its like nearly impossible to get any troubleshooting advice on this because for 99% of people it works flawlessly, so most haven't experienced these problems.

The MHD Flasher does work great - when it works.

Try buying Google credit with it and then using the credit to buy the stuff

Buying 100dollar worth of credit is a little to much to try since they don't issue refunds...

The MHD Flasher does work great - when it works.

You have to use an Android device that is OTG compatible. That is most likely your issue.

this happend to me to. when I was trying to purchase MHD I had to call Google to verify that it was I who was trying to purchase the app

Willing to bet your old android device doesn't support OTG. Has nothing to do with MHD.

OTG on android has been around for ages on some devices and has been blocked by OEMs and manufactures on others. Sometimes custom firmware enables OTG support, basically you may be able to fix it by rooting the phone and flashing a kernel/ROM that has OTG support (aka USB host mode). Oftentimes tethering and sdcard support is disabled at the kernel level too for various dumb reasons typically based on the provider. Stay away from old Verizon phones.
