So did you guys make an aftermarket radiator for the N54 335i's?

Thats what im assuming they were used for? Just for testing measurements, etc..

BUMP for a great price on a basically brand new OEM BMW radiator. Cant beat oem when going stock style radiator.

Yes, you are right. These were used for R&D only. Only 3 of them. The high cost of making them with the best core material possible along with added capacity kept us from bringing it to the market.

Well that sucks!

On a side note: how good of a job does the oem radiator do on a modified car? Did you find it to be pretty well made and able to keep the car cool on track setting with upgraded power? Ive seen alot of people say the radiators on these cars are fine unless you have an auto trans. which combines the trans cooler into the core. I have a manual, do you recommend upgrading and when would i meed to upgrade?

Stock radiator is not good at all from a performance point, with an auto it is even worse.

At the minimum you should upgrade the radiator and oil cooler if you plan to track your car. I just don't know how good these other "upgraded" radiators really are.

The only one I have seen is the Mishimoto and that is only for manual cars. Mishimoto's products tend to be decent quality from what I have seen in the past, but way over priced IMO. I remember when Mishimoto first came out, they were making radiators for around $100-$250 TOPS for just about any car you could think of. They really are taking advantage of the BMW label but I guess that is why I haven't seen very many on any ones car.

And I also agree with Harold, def should upgrade unless it is strictly a DD at stock power or very close to stock power. Obviously, lower coolant temps equate to everything under the hood being cooler; coolant, engine, IAT, basically all under hood temps. Now don't get me wrong, the stock radiator will still do its job, you just wont have as good under hood temps and cool down will be longer.
