E92 330i - Brake Clearance

Afternoon,

Thinking of getting a set of winter wheels soon, can anyone advise what the smallest wheel size I can fit on a E92 330i M Sport? ('08).

It has the larger brake callipers, so I suspect a 17" wheel is as small as it will go?

Thanks

yeh 17's are the smallest that will fit over the 330/336mm brakes.

Some cars? have 348mm brakes which might need 18's though.

Original fitment BMW 17" are fine with 348mm. Others may be a problem

Thanks guys, I don't feel 18" is needed for a winter set, and obviously costs can be lowered in respect to Winter tyres.

I assume the 330i's have the same callipers as the 335i's? They are certainly much bigger than the standards you see on the 320i etc.

335's have the 348mm setup.

i think most 330's will have the 330mm setup, but there are some around that have the bigger ones, probably some sort of optional extra when new.

320i etc are much smaller, ~300mm

Thanks, that's useful.

I just popped my VIN into REALOEM and it states replacement disks are 348mm, so that answers that question!
