AWD issue Help diagnose hesitation/skipping during acceleration

So it seems I am still getting hesitation when accelerating but I was able to narrow down the issue it seems to an AWD component or even the transfer case motor which I have been reading about quite a bit. So the car pretty much hesitates and skips during any type of acceleration leaving quite a crappy driving experience lately. I pulled fuses 26 (and 50 for wipers) and this disables pretty much AWD among a bunch of other stuff (lights on dashboard 4x4 DTC etc), but when in RWD like this the car drives perfectly. Has anyone had any experience with this or just replaced the transfer case servo motor and had the same/similar symptoms? I am considering pulling the front drive shaft as I read it is only 8 bolts and it seems most likely it will drive fine in RWD still.

I've pulled front drive shaft: it's easy. No code, traction control still works..

although traction control gets confused and slams the throttle closed after 0.5s+ of wheelspin. Not sure if that's how the RWD version performs.

I put the shaft back in a few weeks ago for autocross and she still drives fine.

What happens when you turn off DTC/traction control completely (hold DTC button for 10+ seconds)?

If you cannot replicate the issue, you most likely have bad wheel speed sensors or harnesses.
