Cobb Tuning E30 Map

I have installed the Stage 2 LPFP and wanted to try the Cobb E30 Map but cannot for the life of me work out how to download it. I can find the E30 map that suits my ECU but I cannot download it. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to download the E30 Map. I ordered the map through the Cobb Tuning website. There is no cost involved. Also, I registered on the website. On the website, I opened my account and there was a download for the E30 Map which I downloaded and placed on the Accessport. I just need some E85 now and change the maps to see what happens.

Yesterday, I added some E85 to the 98 that was in the fuel tank to give a E30 mixture and installed the E30 map from Cobb. To test the result, I went out to the Test N Tune at Willowbank tonight and had 3 runs. Apart from installing the Stage 2 LPFP, installing the E30 map and adding the correct quantity of E85, nothing else on the car has been changed since I last ran the car a couple of months ago. At that time the weather was cooler and the car ran 12.2s runs. Tonight all runs were in the 11s with the best being a 11.79s @ 121mph. My previous best speed was 119mph. With the installation of the Quaife LSD which occurs next week, I believe I can possibly improve the time by another 0.15s as my best 60' time was 1.848s. Traction was a problem. But the E30 improved the times by 0.4s which is fairly good.

Wow good results coupes, good to see the COBB maps can also get into the 11s similar to the guys running JB4 with back end e85 flashes (I think thats what bmwheath is running and his best has been 11.6 with a quaife LSD)

I am also in the process of getting my stage 2 pump installed, then will head out to the tracks with the e30 map (if i get time might get it protuned before I go)

Will you be getting a protune done by PTF?

Good to read evidence that even just the E30 fuel and map can make such a difference. You are fortunate you have the bolted diff - installation of the Quaife is comparatively straight-forward. I guarantee you will notice a huge improvement in grip - not just on the strip but more importantly on the road.

Currently, I have a custom tune for the 98 fuel which was done by Bayside Performance Services at Cleveland. James who does the tuning has been doing tuning for 25yrs and is pretty good at it. I will probably get a custom tune for the E50 done by him for starters.

I had the Quaife LSD in my previous diff so yes I agree with your comments on the difference it will make.

Nice - looks like he does a good job with times you are pulling. Hopefully you can better the 11.8 with the custom map and LSD

I sourced from the US in the days of better exchange rates between our currencies from here > http://www.hpashop.com/Quaife-LSD-BM...fe-ATB-LSD.htm. At the time, it was more cost effective than even Birds in the UK where the things are built.

I found on schmiedmann for $1144 USD, however they are currently out of stock. I think the delivery was $150 USD. However not sure how realiable the re-stocking turnaround time is.
