Looking for the method to generate FSC codes from E series. SWID_reader gives an error after getting VIN and CIC serial at the last step.

I followed these great instructions to get my 319 byte a.hex file. When I run with fsc.exe and the correct Map and Year, I get this:

version after create() = 0xD1.

I pulled the data both via FTP and SCP, and confirmed they are identical:
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents>fc /b a.hex b.hex
Comparing files a.hex and B.HEX
FC: no differences encountered

First Key size is 81 to include the "00" separator and the next key is 80. I can guarantee you extracted the correct length but since your 1b file is bad you will not get it to work.

Use Internet Explorer and download using Save-As

If you still get the error then your FSC.exe is corrupted or you are clicking an NBT map that is reading an FSC 1B file

Good stuff man! My FTP client was screwing up the file. IE did the trick.

I was able to find the file here:
ftp://169.254.199.99/mnt/HBpersistence/normal/

Pushed through with 0xFF for year just to see and my code.txt is no longer 0 bytes, with a pretty code!
