jb4 pros

hi guys sorry for the dumb question as I'm new with the jb4. Is there any place that tells you how all of this works? on the user adjustments do I change some stuff or leave as is?

want to know as I'm going to race my car in an 1/8th mile tomorrow is going to be imports vs American and want to spank some cars

running on stock wheels with runflat tires so will peel out a lot in 1st and second gear

mods downpipes exhaust dci jb4 will pump 3 gallons of e85 with 91 gas

Just run map 5, You dont have enough mods to run map 7. and dont have meth to run map 3. Unless you want to scale your own targets which i dont recommend as you cant fuel for it. Try lauching in second? minimize wheel spin and cut out the time that it takes to shift from first to second. first gear only gets you to 20mph anyways.

I'm local to you so if you have any questions or anything feel free to reach out to me. What 1/8th mile are you attending? You should go out to Fontana or Ramona for the 1/4 mile.

Your car doesn't run like shit with those duty bias values? All duty bias should be set to 0 or 50 to avoid 30FF.

Garage List
1. You need to update your firmware to 31.5. Look on n54tech

2. Set 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear boost limits to zero, unless you for some reason don't want full boost in those gears.

3. Set all AFR and Duty bias to zero.

You should be ok to run map 5 with some E85. Do not run map 5 on just 91. Take logs when you get a chance. Also do the pump flash as soon as you can.

Afr should not be 0 unless you are running back end flash

Also reason behind not running map 5 on 91?

Doh, thinking he's on a BEF. Map 5 is more for E85 mixes. On 91, he'll have to so much timing pull he'll probably hit 13-14 psi on map 5. Map 1 will be almost the same performance but being a less aggressive map, it's easier on the engine in general. On a non-fbo pump gas car, I've pretty much never seen a case where map 5 is best suited to the car.

Yes you can update, download the interface here: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21742

Like I said, enter "0" for those values.

Map 5 is going to be very aggressive for your mods and fuel. I'd highly, highly suggest taking a log of it and going from there.

You have downpipes?

Probably best to leave everything at default and run map5, especially if you are going to mix E85 in there. Don't mix too much. Stick to a 30% mix to start.

Considering he's in CA and you're in TX, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he's not going.
