MHD: Do I need to bridge pins 7 and 8 for an January 2007 build 335i?
I purchased a generic K+DCAN cable off Amazon and OTG cable to use with my Note 4. Didn't work and was starting the return process when I noticed people mentioning when they use the INPA software that for some of the older 2006-2007 e9x cars.
My car has a january 2007 build date, does it have the older kline ecu or newer dcan? And does this matter with MHD Flasher, or just when using the INPA software on a laptop? |

All 07's have Kline. Hell supposedly some very early 08's still have Kline. Doesn't matter with MHD. Don't think MHD uses any part of DCAN or Kline communication.

Oh bummer, guess that means I got a bad cable. Was hoping I wouldn't have to order another. MHD just gives various errors when connecting such as unstable connection, or can't read ECU, or can't connect at all. I'll try another otg cable and phone first. |

no notes 4 have issues connecting, i had a note 4edge, s6, and now s6 plus, dont turn on the app. plug in the OTG cable into your note, then connect the OBD cable to the OTG and then the car and your phone should have a popup if you have MHD installed already and go from there. I had to do that on Carly/bmwhat app. had to do that process 3 times before it connected and i have a cheap amazon cable and my car was built in late 2006 e92 335i
