Question For all HPF Exhaust owners

the bracket after the resinator, its a thick rubber.Guessing its a vibration dampening, wether it works or not.mine ripped so i used a 7/16-1 1/4 length bolt then used metal spacers(about 1'' worth) in between the exhaust bracket and L bracket. Now theres no more rubber & i tightened it up tight,no play.My question would that be a issue when the exhaust heats up for expansion?theres a flex pipe inline, would that be enough for expansion?
