LCI Tail Light LED - Dim
Hey, I have a LED tail light problem (OEM, LCI 2009) that is similar to what other's have reported.
Two of the corner LEDs do not light up with the rest of the tail light, this created a bulb check error and the tail light will blink fast and display an error. It seems the solution is the replace the tail light, or try to manually fix it, for example: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=769428 I decided to try to code out the error, so it ignores the dead LEDs but will function otherwise normally. Following http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=LED+warm, I managed to disable the warm and cold checks successfully. Now, I do not get any errors, and the tail light blinks properly, however, it is DIM, not full brightness. Also, as it blinks, it seems to blink with varying brightness, but it is still very dim. Is there another parameter I need to change in order to force the tail light to operate at full brightness? |

Crickets....
Ok, it appears I can just buy this stupid assembly for $60 on rockauto. I really expected it to be more expensive.... looks like i'll just buy and replace it rather than messing around with it anymore. |
