Next phase of Audio Upgrade

So next phase of my Audio upgrade is to amp door speakers.

Currently I have:
Head Unit - Dynavin N6, RCA outputs in the back http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1016187

Front Door Speakers - Rainbow IL C4.2 Speakers + Tweeters
Underseat Subwoofer: MB Quarts
Rear Speakers: BMW Individual
Boot: JL250/1 mono amp with JL250 Subwoofer

The existing amp only powers the Subwoofer in the boot. None of the other speakers are amp'd.

The following amps I have shortlisted so far:

5 Channel, so I could get rid of my existing JL250/1 mono amp
Rockford Fosgate Prime R600X5
Kenwood KAC 7005PS

4 Channel to run alongside my existing JL250/1 mono amp
JL JX400/4

I'm a right noob when it comes to car audio, however I do like challenges

Here are my questions:
1) Do you see any problems with the amps that I've shortlisted?
2) I'm falling towards the RF amp, but what do you guys think?
3) Plan is to run RCA cables from the back of the head unit to the amp and then from the amp to speakers, this is how it's done, right?
4) Anything else I should know?

Thanks

1. That Rockford amp is a good amp but prime is their entry level line. Not sure on the kenwood some of their stuff is good but I mostly stay away. I would go with an Alpine Pdx v9 which is a 5 channel amp it does 500watts x 1 at 2 or 4 ohms and 100watts x 4 at 2/4 ohms. Or a pdx f6 if you just need a 4 channel. It does 125x4 at 2/4 ohms.

3. Run rca cables from the headunit to the amp.

How you connect the amp to the speakers depends on which system you have. If you have base might as well run new speaker wire.

If you have hifi use Techinc's harness to replace the hifi amp.

If you have logic 7 you will have to modify Technic's logic 7 harness.

Thanks, yes it is the base system.

To run new speaker wires, will I need to run them to actual speaker on the door etc or can I do this at the back of the Head Unit?

You can run all new wire to the doors or do something similar to Technic's stereo 2/4 harness. The 4 pin connector that normally plugs into the underseat sub has 2 wires that come from the headunit and 2 that go to the door speakers. In your case you won't need the 2 coming from the headunit since you will have rca cables.

Here are the part numbers for the male and female 4 pin connector. If you are using aftermarket underseat subs you don't need the male connectors.

Woofer housing: 61136901731
Woofer housing pins: 61138364835
Woofer socket: 61136984750
Woofer socket pins: 61138364838
