Hi all

Apologies that my first post is a cry for help and forgive me if this has been asked before, but a few weeks back, my drivers side rear window jammed due to one of the kids shoving something in the way when it was closing. I sorted that out by disconnecting the battery for 10 mins or so but ever since the window jammed, the Dash throws up a window symbol and an exclamation mark and makes a BONG noise every 20 seconds!

To say its a little annoying is an understatement - my BMW specialist wants almost £100 just to plug the diagnostics into it - is there any way of stopping this infernal noise without specialist intervention??

I think you need to reset the window. I replaced my passenger rear window regulator and I need to do the same thing, but mine doesn't make noise unless I mess with the window. I was just happy that my window wasn't falling down anymore and haven't finished fixing it . Search around I'm sure it is simple to reset it.

I've tried the Reset process anjd it doesn't seem to have - although having said that, the one touch open/close that was working perfectly now only seems to open and not close!

Can to the drawing board then!
