Vanguard Exhaust with Catless DP?

Hello Guys,

I was wondering if anyone was running the vanguard catback with catless downpipes and could tell me how it sounds? In videos in seems a lot deeper and throatier than other exhaust systems, I was just worried about how loud it would be. Having had a muffler delete at one time I am pretty worried about drone or sounding like a jet driving down the street.

Thanks

It's loud...........trust me. Your neighbors are NOT going to like the cold-start in the mornings......trust me.

I had the Vanguard V2.i loved it,as for loud?compared to what.for me wasn't loud.i have clips somewhere if I can find them I'll post it up for you.for me thought it was a well balanced setup. But that's me.i would
say the clips are pretty close to what mine sound like.it is a mean sounding system for sure.as for cold start in mornings it's gonna be the loudest probably, but after it warms up it quiets down from the waste gates.

Meh thats disappointing. I really like the tone but I cannot stand overly loud exhausts. Thanks for your input

I sold the Vanguard for HPF V2 Exhaust which is louder lol. Most any aftermarket exhaust with be louder then stock of course. If loudness is a concern then just keep it stock with kittyless.See if you like that.As for "loud" im used to,interesting question.Over time i got used to the sound of it.I have perfect hearing,my wife hates it but my kids love it

I'm actually interested in doing the same thing. Currently running a Vanguard V2 and looking to get catless downpipes for it. I'm not afraid of it being too loud, more just worried about hearing the wastegate rattle-sounding noise that everyone seems to be having after getting catless dps.

If you have any rattle it will definitely make it over 2x as bad...... even on a stock exhaust. Its worse when you delete the secondary cats.

Yeah, I don't notice any rattle when I had a stock exhaust, or right now even. Or maybe it's just not currently loud enough to notice. Probably just going to go forward with getting the catless DPs anyways in a month or two and hope for the best. Worst case scenario I'll just get that custom flange hook thing in the rear turbo everyone's been talking about that helps with the rattle.

Then adjust your wastegate actuator arm, or some tunes can even adjust wastegate through the User Interface......

I'm running the vanguard V2. I'll be full catless after Monday. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Yeah I know about that, but the fixes do not make it go away fully... It's still noticeable...
