Clunk noise from front of car when braking at low speed.
I had a wheel speed sensor replaced a few months ago and ever since there has been noise coming from the front of the car when I brake sometimes. Difficult to describe but clunk is probably the closest sound. It's only really noticeable at low speed - easier to hear.
I took it back to the place that did the wheel speed sensor but I couldn't replicate it so of course they shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn't help unless I could get it do it. I guess it doesn't like an audience. I thought perhaps it was a sticking brake caliper? Fast forward a few months and it's still doing it intermittently but I couldn't work out the conditions to do it on command. Until a few days ago. I was going down a road with some pretty severe speed bumps. Like go over at 5 mph speed bumps. Spaced fairly closely. So brake, over speed bump, brake, clunk, over speed bump, brake, clunk e.t.c. Any suggestions what it could be? |

try reversing and braking then driving forward and braking and see if it does it then.
Could be slightly loose pad or various other parts loose. Could even be loose wheel bolts! |

Will try that. Thanks.
Front brakes are a bit screechy as it happens. I did have a look at the wheel bolts. I don't have a socket set but tried finger tightness and no evidence of play. |
