Leaking after windshield replacement

I had my windshield replaced by Autoglass in February, not long after my A/C fan would let out a high pitched whiting, not so annoying I felt the need to have it looked at but noticeable to me.

Finally, a couple of weeks ago the fan packed out. I searched on forums and found one reason is that water can leak through the windshield cowl after a windshield replacement, I felt the floor of the passenger side and it was indeed wet.

Symptoms of water damaging the fan are the high pitched sound and then it dying, so I am fairly certain the problem all originated by the cowling not being replaced properly.

Is it worth complaining to Autoglass? I am now in a position where I need a new fan (£100 plus labour) and a new cowl... Easily £250 to £300 out of pocket in total.

Yes worth a go, if their fitting has caused the issue they should pay

you may need proof, i.e. lift the carpet, show them water leaking in from the windscreen...carpet will need to come out to dry properly anyway, its amazing how much water can be hidden under it trust me I've lifted a few and found small rivers.
