MHD E40 timing issues
Why is it pulling timing across the board in 4th? 3 runs similar results.
Running E50 with water/meth on top. IAT, fuel looks good..... any inputs? Also STFT 1 and 2 seam to be 10% off from each other. http://datazap.me/u/lqqkout/log-1443...10-11-12-13-22 |

Try resetting your a/f learning via BT or INPA and relog. Charge temps look great, fuel pressure looks good, I prefer a little richer myself for that timing and boost and/or more ethanol. Try resetting A/F learning first -that can mess with stuff, or of course the standard plugs/coils looking.

Plugs have about 2K on them, walnut blasting was done at the same time, Bank 1 has all new -12 injectors. Coils might be weak. I'll get 6 new ones and see if it helps. A/F, octane...was reset using MHD 200 miles ago. I was going to switch #4 coil with another one to see if the timing issues moves with it, but my concern was the timing being pulled at the top end on all cylinders.

Increase your ethanol percentage.

I'm running an E40 tune on E50 plus 80% meth. I would think it should be enough. I got new ignition coils on the way to see if it helps. I might have to close the gap in the plugs if that doesn't help. I think they are at. 028 right now.

STFT's are getting close to maxing out. I think 35% is the max. This is probably because you are running E50 with meth. Have you tried without injecting water/meth?

Do you get the same corrections when running closer to E40?

STFT are maxed at - 34% on E40. Timing corrections I'm not sure, usually I do 3rd gear pulls and don't see any noticeable timing corrections across the cylinders.

My trims are also very negative when running the E40 V5.1 map, not quite max though. I think the fuel scalar in the map needs to be adjusted.

.028? That could be an issue lol. I'm at 0.022".

New coil packs, NGK spark plugs have around 2K miles on them, gaped at .022, brand new -12 injectors or cyl 1-3, E50 fuel and 20/80 water/meth.
Fuel, octane, reset. Still getting timing drops acres the board. What's next? OTS MHD E40 map. http://datazap.me/u/lqqkout/new-coil...10-11-12-13-22 |

From what I can tell this map is running very aggressive on your car. Trims are more negative than normal due to the meth more than likely, but could be due to your ethanol content not being high enough. Meth could also be causing the spread in the trims as one bank is using more fuel than the other. Your corrections are minimal and only two cylinders.
I'm leaning toward the ethanol content. Have you tested the % at the station? How much are you mixing? Considering your HPFP / LPFP are perfect, increase the ethanol % to 60. As you increase your ethanol content, more than likely the corrections you currently have will go away. |

Wedge thank you for your input. I tested the fuel in the tank at E50. I'll try adding some more E85 to it. Even without meth my trims are off from each other. I might have to put some new O2 sensors in there.
