HELP Alpine HIFI upgrade malfunction

Hi I am new to the forum, just wondering I bought the Alpine HIFI upgrade for my 2009 E92 to replace a messed up Hifi amp (the black one) this was because according to the technicians here that was the problem after they check all of the speakers and the speakers where fine. I was wondering If I have to amplifiers connected to the car or if the Alpine amp is piggiebacking on the broke amp the speakers sound like crap and I thought that the alpine kit would fix the problem, now the Stealership wants me to purchase another HIFI amp to fix the crackling sound in the speakers. (not the Alpine Amp) the black amplifier, I really don't want to shell out 400 dollars on it.

Thanks for the help in advance.

The biggest difference is that the alpine amp is 4ch vs 6ch on the oem hifi.

You can always buy a technic harness and an xd600/6 for a cheap but effective upgrade and dump the alpine on ebay

There is no reason for you to have two amps in the car.
