idrive controller connections a167a
Anyone retrofitted idrive on a non-idrive car built after 09/2007?
I have an issue with connecting power (PIN 1) on idrive controller (A167a/X10387). As per WDS and Bentley for cars built after 09/2007 the power connector goes to PIN 7 (RT/VI) on x11003 which is on the back of the JBE. I already have a wire connected to PIN 7 on x11003 which I believe is for TPMS. F27 5Amp fuse used by iDrive controller Tire pressure control (RDC) I don't want to splice and solder-heat shrink idrive wire on it. Anyone? [IMG][/IMG]

The diagram looks like it has the two circuits spliced together and like you said the fuse is used by both TPMS and iDrive controller....so I guess you have the splice the circuits together?

Yes, that's the right way to do it. However I added a fuse to x11003 on PIN1 I believe and it works just fine.
