So my 335is was in a euro shop getting its serpentine belt replaced and it had an oil leak, so i got 2 seals changed and it costed me about 595 including labor/parts..

But the tech guy there told me that I have a turbo leak
He told me that it may be covered under my emissions warranty,since the turbos are a part of the exhaust..

So i was just curious to know if anyone has had experience with this or not? And will it be covered under the emissions warranty?

--another question...How long is the emissions warranty? yr/miles?? Never heard of this before

2011 335is 65k...

I'm not sure if ur covered since u have the n55 engine hopefully I'm wrong.

Why not Goto the dealer and ask?

Is your car smoking at all? Any loss of boost?

The IS uses N54 engine

That's for the older (2007-2010) N54 cars, not the 335is, and is expressly limited to turbo failure caused by defective wastegates. Whatever your turbo-related problem is, you're limited to the regular warranty, which has obviously expired, or the CPO warranty if you have one.

The tech didn't go too much into detail when telling me the exact problem, he just said that there was a turbo leak somewhere..

If it is the wastage, how much would it cost to get that repaired or replaced? Any ideas?
