dyno hp seem good but torque? what'sthe next step?
Hello everyone just got the car on the dyno, the horse power seems to be pretty good at least as good as I could have ever guessed. But I was thinking torque numbers would have been a bit higher. So the mods are injen dci, trust (ebay) stepped fmic and charge pipe with a tail q 50 bov, ar dps, cobb stage 2 + fmic aggressive and remus exhaust secondary cats still installed. I had planned on a used e90 335i stock with under 100k km but found a great deal o a mi t e92 manual with dps, intake and exhaust. So I made the sacrifice of ever getting baseline numbers and just continued the build to fbo. This is ots map going to ptf tune in the spring. What do you guy suggest the next step bang for the buck should be.

OTS maps are not meant for actually running your car at the hardest. They're just he basics to get you started and therefore never produce the best results. The whole concept and point of Cobb tuning is to TUNE your car via a professional tuner like PTF, Wedge, BuraQ, etc.

Should be even more scary fast. Wannagofast 1/2 mile event in Ocala end of January. Look into it if possible. Trying to talk Dimitri into bringing the Z.

Have no access to e85 where I live or I would do that. What kinda gains would be expected with a protune like 10 to 20 more. I have access to only 93 or 94 as far as best fuel in my area. Anyone that has done a protune with cobb and fbo. What gains did you get

having both tq/hp in the 390-410 area is totally normal for FBO + pro tune Cobb on 94 octane. you won't see more then that
I know u using an OTS map, I am currently tuning mine and am in that range. |

Those numbers look normal for an OTS map. If there is power to be gained, you'll see it when you do your protune. Also, you could have switched to the 'stock' simulated map with the cobb at the end of the dyno run to get a somewhat stock like baseline.
How many miles are on your car? One thing I'd recommend is to have your car walnut blasted prior to protuning if you're getting near 60k miles. The difference I felt after walnut blasting was huge. |

Do you feel any difference with the inlets and how many miles on your stock turbos?
