Furious bad drivers!!! I'm so annoyed

well i travel the M3 alot and those roadwork limit zone cause more accident than good but that isn't the story.

since we are in a national speed limit of 70mph ---> 50mph zone im guess the highway code still applies no? if travelling in the outside lane then move over to the middle?

i was follow the cooper S @ss from junction 4 to junction 3. everything was good, driver was travelling at a constant 50-52 so i have no complain. once we gone past junction 3, the driver decided to travel 45-48. I waited, observed if traffic is causing this on front... nope the road is clear in front of him. gave a him a flash to tell him move over if he doesnt want to travel 50mph... follow another 2-3 mintures , when he has the chance he don't move so i flashed him again.

The son of a female dog decide to play childish games and brake on me!!! lucky i was 1 and a half car lenght away but my quick reaction almost made the van bump into me.. so i undertake n ready to shout abuse at him.. how hard isit to move over if you decide not to travel the speed limit and hold everyone else up????

how childish can you be by braking on me on a motorway!! road is 50 so go 50 or move to the middle lane!!

i undertake so he dont have to move and i broke the limit because of his childish game. he speed up and tried to block me coming to middle lane. i got pass him and he was behind me i look at my speedo and i was too fast so he thought i brake him!!!

i really wish he will report me and show the police he took my photo becuase then i can tell the police that he supplied evidence that he use a phone while driving and show the cops of my clip he brake on me!!!

Never understood why some people are so stubborn to not let you go. Some people just need to get to places faster than others but they seem to think it's a bullying thing when your trying to get past! . However I agree with gangzoom, chill brother. After coming back from holiday and seeing how bad people drive ie Bali people don't use road markings or lanes..I would say you have got it easy

I agree with you for the not moving over comment but people forget it's a speed limit. Not speed minimum.

I see no issues with the 45/48mph in a 50mph limit

This gets me also, as soon as the taffic gets in to these average speed areas they do not see the need to still move to the left to allow those who wish to do 52-54 pass

I think it's because they feel they need to keep their space further up the traffic

They clearly feel that if they breach the 50mph AVERAGE limit they'll get caught but don't like seeing cars with the confidence to pass them

Must admit it does p*ss me off a treat, and they'll look at you as if you don't understand how to drive on the motorway because you are happy doing 54 in a 50 average speed trap

I do often have to sit back and take a breath to stop myself from making things worse though!

This I agree with but you find a lot of the time during these areas people doing the slower speeds completely ignore the fact that 200 meters back down the road they would of moved to the left hand lane if they weren't overtaking, however now they're in an average speed area this no longer applies?

48mph reading on your speedo might be bang on 50mph on their speedo.

Seriously just ignore the idiots on the road....Google 'Syria + news' and than press the 'Images' tab .

Just be happy your driving a lovely car and have enough free time to get angry about doing 48mph in a 50mph zone

Brake checking you on a motorway is the most dangerous thing here. Dashcam would have been handy to name & shame the b*astard.

Chill out man. You should have just gone up their inside without riling them up. You created your own destiny.

Driving in the outside lane on a motorway at peak hours is a recipe for stress. Just sit in the lorry lane where its clear because everyone else is sat on each others bumper in the "fast lane", waiting for their accident.

Flashing lights is almost universally known as"get the fuck outta my way"
Not too many people respond well to that....not to say it doesn't annoy me when slow drivers take up fast lane....just a little patience and gas peddle will help get around these nuisances.
Or alternatively give yourself more time to get where your going in the future.

I also do this annoying-as-hell stretch on the M3 daily. I also see the exact same behaviour: reeeetards in Lane 2 or Lane 3 for NO reason, think it's ok to be doing 50-52 and suddenly let off throttle and sit at 48. When you're on cruise control at the same 50-52, and you get closer to them because, well, maths and physics exist, they won't even do the right thing and move over LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. Flash them and they get all edgy and brake check you - WTF?! Why are you so unbelievably stupidddddd

It's been a bit better recently, but a few weeks back I was seeing at least one of those FREAKS on every single journey and it reallllyyy pisses me off.

Disclaimer: I am a sharp, thoughtful, generous, experienced and reasonably advanced driver. I am also reasonably calm and let shit go until someone goes too far. If someone pisses me off, trust me, there is a good reason.

The worst is probably when some moron is sat at 45 in the middle lane, nobody in Lane 1, and a queue forming in Lane 3 because everyone is having to bunch up to get round this P***K. End up resorting to working my way into Lane 1 when I get the chance.

Matters not. Whatever your current speed, or the speed limit, you always have to keep left in lane 1 if you are not overtaking. End of.

Unless the roadworks are marked "stay in lane" like come contraflows. Lanes 2 and 3 (and 4..) are only for overtaking.

Doing 50 in a 50 does not exempt you from the highway code!

I just leave my indicator on to turn right if someone doesn't know how to use the road. They'll get the hint. Less aggressive than flashing. I'll only flash if they're doing something really annoying like 25/30 in a 50 like someone I was behind the other day.

I find this behaviour so dangerous, you get complacent and day dream and get caught out so easily

I try to never flash anyone as I hate it when idiots do it to me.
I've only done it a few times when people have been in the outside lane doing 50mph when there are no restrictions on speed (should be doing 70)

Yeah, me too.

Just subtly move left in good time and cruise slowly by, they usually don't notice anyway.

Plus 1. And keep right so they can see your indicator in their offside mirror.

That's the euro way, keep your outside indicator on the whole time you're in the overtaking lane.

Not really, use common sense. your speedo will always be either 50mph or a little below. so 48 will most likely be 48! tried driving past those instant speed display thing that shows a smile then display your speed. those are surprising accurate to my speedo.
