Looking for Honeymoon advice / recommendations
My fiance and I are getting married on Sunday, April 24, 2016. We are looking to have our honeymoon on Monday. We are thinking about a week long 6 or 7 night vacation. Can anyone recommend any places, sites, vacations, or anything at all. We are thinking tropical places, but we have to be careful with the rainy season coinciding with some resorts. We are also considering all inclusive, adult only, cruises too.
Thanks!

The resort I went to in Bermuda was adult only and was gorgeous. Highly recommend it.
Oh and if you have a big budget, Maldives.

As for budget, we can shoot for the sky. I'm willing to spend bigger for a great once-in-a-lifetime vacation.
I will try and get a good deal or package if possible. Where should I start looking? We looked at quite a few sites.

I would be a widow if I had to spend a week on a beach.

This is the TRUTH. If you have an AMEX Platinum card, you'll get breakfast and room upgrade. You only have a week, so I wouldn't recommend any place too far away. This place is where money goes in Hawaii.
Also keep in mind, with each island you go to, you lose at least half a day for travel, getting a car and checking in. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

The Four Seasons Bora Bora hand down the best place you can go.
If you're more budget conscious just check out any all inclusive resort. I went to the DR about a month ago, stayed on a private island, butler service and ocean view room for almost next to nothing. |

Try Windstar Cruises, I got home a week ago from my second trip with these ships. I am NOT a cruise type traveler, however, Windstar is about the experience, and the ships are small, the largest ship has 180 cabins. The most recent trip was Venice to Rome over seven days, with stops in Croatia, Montenegro, Sicily and Capri. I am afraid that we got the last of the good weather, so I would not recommend this destination at present. I have done the Tahiti trip with Windstar, this is also a recommendation for you. Recently Windstar acquired 3 smaller ships/yachts (these do not have masts for sailing), but I do not have experience with these ships or their destinations.
The Windstar staff are attentive and take care of your every need. It's well worth it to pay for the laundry option on board, $125 for the both of you for the duration of the trip, and your clothing is delivered to your cabin freshly pressed by 5pm each evening. If you select the Caribbean or Tahiti type cruises, there are water based activities available each day. The back deck folds down to allow you to waterski, windsurf or just swim in the ocean. Hope this helps! PS: While on the Italy cruise the wife mentioned to me that Windstar is doing a Monte Carlo cruise during F1 Grand Prix week. For this cruise, Windstar takes care of everything related to the GP, including good seats for the race. She suggested that this be our next trip, which I endorsed wholeheartedly! |

My wife and I did Napa Valley for 4 days then flew to Maui for 10 days!
Last year in October it was incredible. It was incredible so now I wouldn't change a thing.. But had I planned it again.. 8 days in Maui and 6 days on the Big Island. For our 5 year anniversary we are doing 7 days on the Big Island and 2 days in Maui I highly recommend it!! Bora Bora does look Amazing!

This, the one in Maui or split time between them. It's your honeymoon. Stay in a really nice resort wherever you go.
