personalised Number plates
Hopefully some one on here can help. My missus is gonna buy me a personalised number plate for Xmas. The question i have is, once i have it on my car, when it comes to changing my car, what is the cost? I thought it was just £80 but someone has told me that is £80 to remove from one car and then another £80 to have on another meaning a total of £160 to transfer form one car to another.

£80 to remove from car and transfer to another car IF it is under your name I think? or £80 to remove from car + £25 for a 12 month retention certificate = £105, then free to put on any car which is under the same name as the retention certificate or nominee.

They have removed the £25 fee, £80 includes 10 years of retention as well.
