Should I do motor mounts if my oil pan is being replaced?
With the subframe lowered, the two motor mounts get exposed, correct? The car is a 2008 335i with 115k miles on it. Motor mounts are original. I don't know if I need new ones or not, no weird wiggling but it logically makes sense to replace them considering their age, right?
Any other recommended parts to replace that might be exposed with the subframe lowered? Thanks

Do it. One of my motor mounts was collapsed when I had to replace my oil pan gasket (~57K miles). Luckily warranty covered that. I paid out of pocket for parts to have the other side done along with it. The 335is has an upgraded motor mount on one of the sides. I would try to find that one. My warranty covered the side which failed so I couldn't switch to the better part. |

Agree with everyone else - upgrade to the IS pass mount and do both with the subframe lowered. I did mine at 90k and the driver mount was toast - caused my PS pulley to smack into my subframe. Lucky there was no serious damage considering the pulley cracked and was rubbing against my serp belt - ticking time bomb for sure.
