N54 Injectors
I've read about people adding fuel cleaners like techron to their cars and not making a difference. Is it possible to remove the injectors physically and just wipe them clean? If yes, will it require coding when reinstalling? I seem to be getting a rough idle and ses light coming on. I have a jb4, Dci, and Cobb cp. Or is it my intake valves that need to be cleaned by walnut blasting method? Thanks

Try this. Spark plug > coil > injector.
Walnut blasting will give you a smoother idle but gunked up valves have no real way to throw a code. Check your plugs, usually one bank goes before the others in terms of injectors. |

Per the Bentley manual, use a lint-free cloth to remove combustion residue from the cylindrical part of the injector tip. Do not clean the injector tip. A shop could probably thoroughly clean the injectors with an ultrasonic cleaning machine. If your careful to re-install the injectors into the same cylinders from which they were removed, calibration with INPA would not be required. If an injector is replaced, then calibration would be required. If you decide to inspect/clean your injectors, you should also inspect your spark plugs as well. A fouled plug that smells like gasoline is a solid indicator of a leaking injector that needs to be replaced.

Yes. Check Rockauto.com out. They seem to have the latest revision for the cheapest price. I just bought one injector from them.
Read this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1118247 Latest: 13538616079 (you may not find these but any index 12 should be ok) Previous: 13537585261 (index 11+ should be ok) Original: 13537565138 If you find out your injectors are older than 11, you need to replace all three injectors in that bank. There are two banks, three injectors in each. They need to be 11+ to play along nicely. If you have one 10 and two 11+ in that bank, it won't work right. You should basically upgrade to 11+ injectors.
