Car stays at 7k rpm too long

Hey guys, i had a question about my car not changing gears right on automatic mode. It use to change just fine, now when i go wot, itl get up to 7k and stay there. If i let go off the throttle it still stays there?? It just started doing that? Then the ses light comes on, n the car shakes wen i press the pedal. Then after 5-40 seconds, the ses light turns off snd the car is fine again. I thought i busted my engine the first time it happened. Happened 3 times now in 2 days. I searched, but didnt find anything. TIA

Btw, ive never driven a manual car so i dont know much about gear changing, but im pretty sure staying at such high rpms for that long cant be good.
