Power cut off on 335i e93

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if any one could help me with the problem I've had. I was driving down to work on the motorway, all of a sudden the cars power cuts off for a split second and it came back on. It has only happened once so far. But trying to figure out what could it be? The roof error (in red) was also displayed for a split second on the dash.

Recently had new radiator and auto gearbox serviced.

There is a junction box recall in the US. I would look into that for your car if it has never been fixed

Great recommendation, if you give your dealer a call they can check your VIN and tell you if it's been completed or not.

The recall was never applied outside the US, but that doesn't mean that the cars could be affected.

Ive remember seeing one or two threads on this topic.

Anyways, stay safe.

I also have an E93 and this thread is making my arse pucker...The roof scares me a lot more than the engine. I recently rebuilt my engine and it wasn't too bad. Most knowledgeable shops know how to properly rebuild an engine and set the timing. However, very few shops know how to deal with an E93 roof.
I had major rusting of the top's hinge. My local BMW dealer refused to touch it, in fear that they would break something and be liable to replace the $10k+ roof.
My Indy and I literally spent 1 month researching and coordinating before we went to work. I researched everything myself using TIS and ETK. Then my Indy and I had multiple rounds of discussions on how to actually execute the repair. The rust had taken out the studs of the roof shell, so they had to drill those out, weld new material in, tap the holes, then bolt on the new hinges. Attaching some pics.
It wasn't an urgent fix, but it was something that had to be done sooner or later.

Please do keep us updated if you find a solution.

Yesterday, My car wouldn't turn on, no alarm, etc. Turns out there was some water on the battery compartment. After some research it could be bad ibs.

I'm also going to try this - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=864436

But still need to find out where the water leaks from.

So I have tried everything I can. I have changed IBS cable. I have changed battery distribution box. It still doesn't work. Just wondering what else it could be? Any help would be much appreciated.
