Leatherette cover replacement BMW quoted for 1K

So i have a 2010 328i xdrive with extended warranty. I read a few post, and the dealership replaced a brand new cover for a few E90. So i just went to the dealership today, see whether they could replace the cover for me. The crack is on the bottom left side of the driver seat. BMW quoted me $1110.50

Does anyone know where I can find the black leatherette cover? / Is the dealership over charging me?

Buy the cover, have an upholster fit it for you.

From what you assume, do you think it would be kinda pricey to hire someone to put it on for me?

buy a used complete leatherette seat and replace cover
or, if you are live in cold weather country, it is better to replace seats with dakota leather version because leatherette is prone to break in cold conditions because it's plastic

I had my driver seat reupholstered using BMW OE upholstery including new foam. New seat and torso foam, new torso cover (seat cover was still good). Parts and labor were just shy of $1,000.

You can buy a used seat in perfect order for 3 times less that amount.

Another data point I just thought of. 2 months ago my wife's Z3 passenger seat bottom cover started to separate at the seam between the two leather panels. The airbag light came on and the code showed the passenger seat sensor mat was faulty. So I bought the new seat sensor pad. Removed the seat from the car, took it to an upholsterer. He charged me $85 to remove the seat cover, re-sew the seam(s) and install the new sensor mat.

I have E90 and bought driver seat bottom leatherette cover on BMW classified section for $75 and DIY. Pretty straight forward on replacement using zip ties. You can find several post describing job in forum.
