FS: Catch Can, EGR block off, JBD package

Well, after finishing a good CBU at the dealership (which worked great and made the car fast and efficient again) I was faced with a heavy snowfall and finally decided to move to an AWD based sedan...Wife signed off on me getting a monster in the form of a S6 so I'm trading in the 335D.

I have a fresh catch can setup from 135 that I haven't even opened. I also have the EGR block off plates (never installed) and a used JBD/OBD reset tool to part with.

I would like $400 for the entire package, new catch can setup, new EGR plates and JBD.

EDIT
Catch can and EGR plates still for sale. $250 shipped anywhere in USA

So traded my 335D in for the 2013 S6 on Tuesday. I'm very pleased with the swap.

I really enjoyed my time with the 335d, it is a great car and goes great. On the drive over to trade it in I was getting 38mpg in the cold despite 78mph.

The S6 is a completely different beast however. Overall the Audi just feels much more substantial and planted. My 335D always felt a little unsettled in the rear, and the lack of a limited slip was awfully limiting putting power in around the corners (where it is fun)

The S6 has everything you need to continuously put power down. AWD, sport differential, air suspension...It feels constantly settled, constantly in control no matter HOW hard I try to push it. And push it you can, with 425hp by book (and probably closer to 480hp in reality and a 7 speed dual clutch setup it just goes, and it goes with so little fuss you suddenly look down and it is doing 100mph!

My S6 also has adaptive cruise which works amazing, it will slow you to a stop maintaining a safe distance, emergency brake if needed, and then just start going at a tap of the gas pedal keeping pace with the car in front. It identifies the lane markers and will, for about 10 seconds, do what it needs to in order to keep you safely in your lane, and it has a night vision camera to identify pedestrians (or your neighbors house where they forgot to put in the insulation!)

Beautiful car and I am very happy with the swap (and that I got wife's approval for the swap!)

Seems like you were very interested in a power jump. Now the question I have, if the A6 TDI was still on sale, would you have bought that? What about a BMW 550?

I was kind of done with diesel sedans. I have a 2007 ML320CDI turbo diesel that came before all the emissions add-ons and love it and would buy a similar vehicle again, but the whole CBU issue on the BMWs sort of soured me on performance diesels for a while. My most recent service in my 335D they said 'boy, it didn't take much DEF" but it had been 9,000 miles. So guess what happens 2 weeks after the service? No start in 1,000 miles! So I have to fill the darn DEF myself. I presume dealer incompetence but still a pain.

I considered an A6 but overall the looks are kind of sedate, hence the draw to the S6. Additionally I needed/wanted a year round vehicle so I needed AWD and the corporate experience of Audi with AWD on almost everything was appealing as was the technology in the vehicle.

I would have considered buying a used M5, but no AWD and a nonstarter in eastern Washington, hence the halo car from the rival platform. I love the 5 series looks and how they drive, just ended up in the Audi camp this time (again with wife's blessing cause she loves Audis)

BMW's are probably worst cars you can own if you are in eastern Washington state. I don't miss doing 360's on highway I90 during black ice storm days when I was stationed at Fairchild.

might look silly but only way i'll ever buy M5 in eastern Washington in winter is with studded tires. I wonder how that'll look..

Just hope that 4.0 is not the 4.2 CBU basket case. CBU is a DI issue and not strictly a BMW issue.

There are zero reports on the Audiworld forums about CBU issues with that engine.
