Thanks for the link tawfeeqh. I actually have two cables
from that supplier and both don't work on my 09 335i LCI.

Doing a bit of research online, it seems the cables with the white circuit
boards have a high chance of not working. I suspect the Dcan part of the
Cable has issues because I tried plugging into a earlier model 1 series and
it seems to communicate.

Thanks for the info.

I ordered one of these cables last week so hopefully it works in my car which is an e90 07/2007 build.

Did you say it worked on an earlier model 1 series?

Are the green board ones safer to buy?

Not Sydney, but I have bought one previously and it works perfectly with my 335.

From what I've read it seems as though the green
cables are more reliable. Yours being an 07 build I think
it uses the k line side of the cable which seems to work
on the cables I have, it's the Dcan that I need for an 09
that is causing my issues I suspect.

I can't recall the name of the website which I ordered it from, but I can find out.

Let me know if you are keen, in in Mortdale.
