Third brake light bleeding onto rear windshield

Does anyone else have their third brake light "bleed" onto their rear window, the rubber part under the light is not flush with the window and lets the light run all the way down at night making it impossible to see out of when backing up with the brake pressed.

Remove the trim cover that's part of your headliner and check the tabs for the 3rd brake light assembly are properly secured. The rubber seal is part of the housing iirc. I'm certain the tabs are not secured.
