The rear view mirror popped off while adjusting it today, from reading how it fits online it looks like the round metal piece is meant to stay stuck to the windscreen, (shown below) and the mirror twists on to the rest, but this has come off and is still attached to the mirror, is there a part I can get from BMW to stick it back?
The rain sensor is still attached where it should be to the windscreen but there a small circuit board with wiring which looks like it's mean to be glued somewhere hanging off the windscreen anyone know where this goes?

mine did the same a while ago. i just bought some alridite from halfrauds. the strongest and fastest curing one they do.

You can remove the circular disc from the rest of the mirror which makes it easier to glue as you haven't got to hold the whole assembly.

I see did you take off the round glue like patch that's on the metal piece I'm guessing that's the old glue ..

I dont recall mine having it. i think it was badly attached after a windscreen replacement when with the previous owner. but there wasnt anything on the metal disc when i re-glued it to the windscreen.
