I think there is an option to revert the system back to original - all the music goes as well as any settings. Somewhere in the depths of iDrive!!

If you don't have a manual you can download one from BMW USA. No 330D but the 335D will cover most things.

Deleting an album
An album cannot be deleted while a track from
it is being played.
1. "CD/Multimedia"
2. "Music collection"
3. Highlight the desired album.
4. Open "Options".
5. "Delete album"

Deleting a track or directory
A track cannot be deleted while it is being
played.
A directory cannot be deleted while a track from
it is being played.
1. "CD/Multimedia"
2. "Music collection"
3. Highlight the directory or track.
4. Open "Options".
5. "Delete folder" or "Delete track".

As above.

Yes you need to press the options button on the iDrive controller. I find it strange you need to press a physical button rather than their being an on-screen 'options' select!
