What would you do for electronic protection

I have a Valentine One that's on the fritz. I have a passport 8500 also that's aging. Finally I have laser interceptors for jamming.

The V1 was great. Upgrading it will cost $300. The passport needs replacement soon. The Jammers are not designed to work with the new laser the FPD uses but haven't let me down yet. One housing is leaky however in car washes. I'm looking at upgrading.
Would you:
Get new dual ALP laser jammers,
Upgrade V1
Get a different detector
Something else?

Jammers are illegal in TX (the bastards...) so can't say but if there are ones available that work with the newest LIDAR units, I'd go with that.

I'd update the V1 and load up the custom config and sweeps available on rdf.org using YaV1 on Android and then run in Custom Logic mode. Works really really well for me. If it alerts, I lift. Virtually never falses.

Dunno about the Passport, are you running both in the same car? YaV1 provides all the GPS based lockout functionality including vectoring to falses using the front and rear receivers, it's purty kewl.

Interesting... I just got a valentine one too. Can you do this through an iPhone or anything else except android?

As far as I know, no, it's Android only. But you can check on rdf.org and see if it's been ported to iOS.

I had no idea about this! Good information to have for any V1 users. Looking into doing these upgrades now!

Right, sorry, rdf is shorthand for the site amongst its users, should've been more careful there, thanks for correcting it.
