Dura International "Electrophoretic" rotor experience?

I have a 328xi for daily driver use; I try to keep everything stock. My brakes need to be done soon - I have Akebono pads on the shelf.

It's generally accepted here that Zimmermann is OE; but does anyone have experience with the new-ish dura international "Electrophoretic" brake rotors? Looks like only rear ones are available (right now), but they are a significant discount over Zimmermann (at least in the states):

Coated by electrophoresis, but coated with what? Zinc?

Meyle Platinum rotors also have a mystery coating, maybe same as they recommend you don't clean them before mounting. Possibly the coating would rub off.

There's nothing wrong with Centric Parts - Stoptech's parent brand...I use them on my E36M3 and I wouldn't hesitate to use them on my next brake rotor change on the E90. Used them in the past on various vehicles as well.
